Big developers don't care and are not motivated to port their apps to Linux, so we are left with no choice for certain needs.

The problem is that Linux can't unstuck from the 1% global desktop user share. So, even though I use Linux for almost everything, I still need to use Windows when I have to host teleconference sessions.

If you need a serious background removal feature Windows is the only possible choice. I know I can use OBS with a virtual cam+ backround removal plugin but this has also very bad quality compared to the absolutely best Xsplit Vcam I use in Windows. The default background removal that is provided by Webex has awful quality and doesn't use gpu acceleration. What I can't overcome is that I need a good app for webcam background removal (without green screen). I managed to overcome the lack of audio sharing by using virtual audio sinks and heavily rerouting my sound ( even made a guide for this)

Cisco has posted that they will bring Linux Client on par with Windows client but this hasn't happened yet. No advanced features in Linux, no audio sharing (I need this desperately), no polling etc. Webex Meeting has a Linux Client but offers basic functionality. So I don't have the option to use other software (but even if I could, the problem remains the same). Let me explain myself: I am an educator and my organization uses Webex Meetings.
